Hi There!
Patti, Kathy & I met
recently and set the date and the framework for this year’s Brown family
reunion. This email is an informal announcement of the date so you can pencil it
in on your calendar and save the date.
This year the Brown reunion
will be held in Seattle on Saturday July 31st & Sunday August 1st.
Essentially it will be a 1 day reunion on Saturday at Phyllis’ home on Haller
Lake, although for those family members who spend the night and/or those who
want to spend more time together, we will also get together at Kathy &
Steve’s home in Bellevue. Whether you join us Saturday and/or Sunday, both
days’ activities will be on lakes (Haller Lake and Lake Sammamish) so bring
your swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. On Sunday, we might be able to get Brad,
Stephen and Jonny to get the boat out on the lake for those brave enough to
water-ski!
On Saturday, we will have
sandwiches, etc for lunch, available from 11:30am on. A potluck BBQ dinner will
be at 5pm, with burgers, hot dogs and turkey. We will need salads, side dishes
and desserts to help with the meal.
Sunday, there will be a
lunch/early dinner at 1pm at Kathy & Steve’s home. We are tentatively
planning on a salmon dinner with leftovers from Saturday’s dinner.
This year, Phyllis’ home
will not have any rooms available to stay in so for those of you coming from out
of town, please check with Patti, Kathy or I to see if we have any rooms
available. There are some hotels/motels available nearby as well.
We really hope you can all
join us. And please forward this email on to other extended family members as we
don’t have everyone’s email addresses.
