I am Johnny Johnson.

The son of Art and Lorraine Johnson.

Art worked at the Jonesville Coal Mine in the late 40's to early 50's and later went to work at the power plant at Fort Richardson in the mid to late 50's.

Retiring in the early 60's due to poor health.

Lorraine was a pioneer in Alaska, having been in the retail business from the late 40's to the mid 60's.

Selling Minnesota Woolen Mills clothes anywhere there was a road.

She had a Store in Palmer in the early 50's Toggs and Seams.

She moved her store to Eagle River in 1956 and named it Lorraine's Department Store in the old Carrs Plaza.

In 1962 she moved her store to Peter's Creek across from the Half/way House, Peters Creek Shopping Center and Gas.

She died 1973 in Anchorage.
